How to help

The best way to contribute to the success of this peace organization and centre is by visiting it and experiencing its most characteristic aspects. The "official" language of the visitors is Italian, there’s an Italian restaurant which is very popular, especially over lunch time, by wealthy Indians. You may happen to cross some builders and carpenters who stay in the centre while building a hospital). To make people happy at the canteen, remember to book ahead for dinner or lunch and make a request to try some of the most traditional African dishes. There’s also an internet point and a souvenir shop. The entire staff belongs to the Koinonia Community.

How to get there

From Nairobi City Centre take matatu (or City Hoppa) #111 that travels along Ngong Rd (the stop is named Shalom); from the airport during the day you can take bus #34 towards Nairobi City Centre and take the #111 from the train station depo; alternatively during the night you can take a taxi (negotiating the fare to around 1,500 KShs).
